To ensure the automation you've created works and to facilitate automatic data transfer between your apps, you need to connect them to Albato. This allows Albato to securely access, update, or add data to your apps during the automation process.
You can connect your apps to Albato in two ways:

  • Through the "Apps" section

  • Using the Automation Builder

Albato allows you to connect multiple accounts to a single app.

IMPORTANT:

To guarantee the security of your app account data, Albato utilizes high encryption standards, including 256-bit AES encryption for data at rest and TLS 1.2 and 1.3 with AES 256 for data in transit.

Furthermore, Albato ensures that only the necessary operations are executed in the apps for the proper functioning of the Automations you've created. All your data is processed considering strict security and privacy standards.

You can also review our detailed security and personal data protection policy.

Connecting App Accounts through the "Apps" section

1. Navigate to the "Apps" section.

2. In the top right corner, select "Add Connection".

3. Choose the desired app for integration from the list using the search function.

4. Follow the instructions to connect your app to complete the process.

Integrate App Accounts via the Automation Builder

  1. When creating a new Automation in the Automation Builder, you can add new apps.

  2. After selecting an app and event, the system will prompt you to connect your app account.

What does the app connection process look like?

The process of connecting an app in Albato is simple and secure. There are two popular scenarios based on the app you've chosen:

App Authorization:

  • When choosing an app to connect, you'll be redirected to that app's authorization page.

  • Here, you'll need to log into your app account and grant Albato permission to access it.

  • After successful authorization, the window will close, and you'll be automatically redirected back to Albato with an activated connection.

This type of connection is a standard for many apps like Google, Slack, or Facebook, allowing third-party apps to get limited access to a user's account without sharing login details, ensuring data security.

Using a special "key":

An API key is a unique combination an app uses for identification during integrations.

Connecting an app using an API key:

  • After selecting an app to connect, Albato will ask for the API key.

  • You'll need to go to your app settings and copy your unique API key. It's usually found in sections related to "Integrations" or "API". You can also seek help from your app's support or refer to our instructions.

  • Paste the key into the corresponding field in Albato and confirm the connection.

  • After this, the app will be successfully connected and ready to use.

Managing your App Connections in Albato

Once you've added your apps to Albato, you can manage them in the "Apps" section. This allows you to:

  • Change the connection name in the "Title" field

  • Test its functionality with the "Test" button

  • Disconnect or reactivate the connection

  • Update the app's account details

If you encounter any issues or have questions regarding connections, don't hesitate to contact Albato's support team.
